New starters

What happens when you come along for the first time?

This page is here to remove the awkwardness. If you are unsure whether Tae Kwon-Do is for you or your child, this is the easiest place to start.

Your first visit in four simple steps

Step 1

Say hello and get settled.

You do not need to know the terminology or the routines. We will guide you.

Step 2

Join the warm up.

The first part of the class is straightforward and lets people get comfortable with the room.

Step 3

Try the basics.

We keep the first lesson simple so it feels like a sensible introduction instead of a test.

Step 4

Decide at your own pace.

You can leave with a clear idea of whether it feels right for you or your child.

What to bring

You do not need much. The main aim is to make the first visit easy.

Comfortable clothing

Wear something you can move in. Nothing special is required for the first visit.

A drink of water

A simple bottle of water is enough. Classes are active, so it helps to have one nearby.

A bit of curiosity

That is honestly the most important thing. We will handle the rest.

Questions people usually ask

Does my child need experience?

No. The first class is designed for complete beginners and the pace is easy to follow.

Will it be too intense?

Not on the first visit. We want people to leave feeling positive, not overwhelmed.

Can adults join too?

Yes. The club is open to ages 6+ and the tone is family-friendly rather than child-only.

A gentle first step

If you want to try the club but are hesitant, the best route is to come along once, meet the instructor, and see how the space feels.
