About the club
A friendly club with structure and standards.
We want families, beginners, and returning students to feel welcomed quickly. The teaching stays clear and practical, but the atmosphere stays warm.
What the club is trying to do
Our focus is simple: help people grow in confidence, discipline, and fitness without the atmosphere feeling cold or intimidating.
We are not trying to look flashy or overcomplicated. We are trying to be clear, approachable, and consistent so that parents and new students know what to expect before they arrive.
That means straightforward communication, a supportive teaching style, and enough personality to feel memorable without becoming over-designed.
Why people join
Different people come for different reasons, but they usually stay because the club feels supportive and usable in real life.
For children
Focus, confidence, routine, and a positive way to channel energy.
For parents
A welcoming local activity with structure, values, and a clear weekly commitment.
For adults
A way to train, de-stress, and build fitness in a setting that is serious but not stern.
Instructor
Richard leads the club
Richard is a 5th Degree Tae Kwon-Do black belt and a Qualified Instructor, referee, first aid trained, and safeguarding trained.
He has trained for most of his life and has spent many years teaching in different clubs before bringing that experience into Wellington.
Passionate about Tae Kwon-Do, Richard loves teaching, and strives to create an environment where students of all ages can thrive.
